Overall: The earthworm is a much more complex animal than previous animals we have dissected. They are very docile creatures that live most, to all, of their lives underground.
Ecology:They have segments for movement and our worm was long and had 158 segments, with bilateral symmetry like the squid. It has cephalization. It has extracellular digestion, using a mouth, esophagus, intestines and more. The earthworm has a one way digestive system. It has a closed circulatory system and breathes through its skin. (This is why they need to go up to the surface when it rains and their tunnels become filled with water).
